PORIRUA teenager Rosie Lameko has a talent and wants to show it off on TV – but it will not be New Zealand’s Got Talent this time.

Rosie, pictured right, was one of the thousands who auditioned for New Zealand’s Got Talent.

She heard last week that she did not make it, but enjoyed the experience.

“It was pretty nerve racking at first but when I found out I was in separate little classrooms it was all good,” Rosie says.

She joined the show because she felt it was a way to express her “God–gifted” talent.

“I’ll try my best to impress my family and do what’s best by God’s will.”

Although Rosie was confident about her performance it was only a pre-audition to qualify for the actual New Zealand’s Got Talent auditions.

Rosie had great feedback from the judges but she still wants to keep both feet on the ground.

“The judge that was there said that it was good to see someone get lost in the song, and that meant a lot to me,” says Rosie.

Faith and family are a big deal for Rosie and she says she will try and do her best to make her family proud with her singing.

Rosie also has a brother who auditioned and who made it to the same stage as her.

“My brother’s pretty musical, he’s musically talented. I guess singing runs through the family.”

One of Rosie’s inspirations is Beyoncé.

“But I like to listen to Adeaze. Every song they sing there’s a message to it, and Young Sid too.

“I like to listen to people sing about their life.”
